Volk Racing TE37XT 17x8.5 FIRST LOOK

I see where you're coming from, and I have no idea on shipping logistics. I'm just at a point where after waiting for so long, I'm going to take what I can get with these wheels. Just had them ceramic coated today and waiting for the coating to be fully cured then mount the tires on. Blast Black is a very interesting finish/texture and it cost more to coat than my 18" Large PCD Dark Gunmetal finish.

Yeah, at least you got your set. I do want to get them ceramic coated as well which will cause more of a delay to get them on lol. How much did it cost you to ceramic coat them?

I used a guy that I’ve used before so it was $200 and he usually charges me $160 for a set of 4. the blast black Would show oily finger prints so I thought coating them was a layer of safe guarding or would make cleaning them easier.

 

Damn, never thought about ceramic coating wheels before.

That set is gonna look sick mounted!

 

3/02 Update

New design, new engravings, Volk Racing/Rays has to achieve perfection or they will not let the product through. Unforeseeable circumstances, unfortunately has delayed the special colors. If you are interested in switching to bronze, black or red please contact us directly at the shop and we can make it happen. Thank you.

 

What do you mean by "new design, new engravings"??? I'm no expert by any means, but why is it difficult for Volk to release the special colors? They managed to do it without issues with the 16" wheels

 

The 16's have been an offered design for quite some time and is not something new. The xt's however are a completely new cast and molding.

But my point is that the Bronze, Black, & Red are already available even though they have a completely new cast / mould compared to the 16", but the special colors seem to be the issue with finalizing the wheels. Anyways, I might be calling in for the Black wheels if they're available now.

prolly not. I can say I’ve gotten use to it now, it’s a nice break in the color scheme, at least for me.

 

Got my wheels today and I gotta say, no regrets at all. Awesome looking wheels and so damn light too. Can’t wait to wrap them with 35s and mount them on my FZJ80. thanks Showstoppers!
