Small guns are pretty rough to shoot. If concealability is not a concern, a full size handgun is always easier to shoot.

If bears are a concern, but it'll be an HD gun too, I'd recommend either a G40 or G20. 10mm will be plenty for 2 legged or 4 legged predator varieties. If 10mm is too hot, .40 barrels are available for both to tame either for practice.

@JoseSMR check out the glock 29 10mm. Smaller frame than the G20 but still shoots the 10mm. You have have an extended mag for home use so its similar to holding the G20.

Glocks are a super reliable, decent shooters and you can find parts just about anywhere.

what he said^. If you’re new to guns, go full size if you’re not concealing. The heft will help with the recoil. A revolver may not be best to start especially if it is anything above a 38.

edit: also please research the limitations of stopping power for a typical 9mm... you don’t want to rely on that to protect you from bears etc...

I own a Chris Kyle signed lower with a go fast aka full auto set up. It cost 45k and when I went to the local gun range people were offering me upwards of $500,000 for it. But it was when America sniper had just come out. I was attached to chis’s team in Hawaii as there parachute rigger before SOCOM stuck me into a group and pushed me thru the pipeline.

Picked up an Apache hard case from Harbor Freight. It holds my 9mm CZ and Colt perfectly. Magazines are stored in the next layer of foam. I am very impressed with the quality, especially for the price.

No pics yet, but an MVG off reddit and an olight warrior with a mount kit for wml duty from my buddy. Gonna rework the front end of my rifle a bit, considering picking up a brake to polish the process off.
