Installed 1st Gen. Tundra 5100's with 5 settings instead of the normal 3 setting 5100's they have now....



& installed steel mesh radiator guard after trimming away 90 % of the front bumper

Very cool but a bit annoying (to me anyway). Was there a particular reason for it (like are you backing up in elementary school parking lots often or something)?

It's awesome work that you got it installed and working and its definitely unique.

 

haha nah...friend gave it to me for free so i put it on. it is pretty useful though in crowded parking lots...esp when most trucks and suvs tend to hide my truck behind them...lol.

and it's hooked up to a switch inside the cab...so when i come home from work at 3AM i don't piss off all the neighbors lol

the install was quite simple...all you need to do is tap into the reverse light wire and the ground, out a fuse on it, run the wires to the cab for the switch and voila! big rig backup sound. and now if you run over a kid and it's on there's no excuse for the kid to not know your backing up. unless their deaf.

I like that. Not for me but for the people walking behind me that I hit. Maybe they will move out of the way faster. Did you DIY or have it done. Any details.

 

did it myself...seriously took me a good 15 min. lol. you just bolt it onto the frame, and tap into the reverse wire going into the light and the ground, and i ran a switch

Corolla XRS Shift knob

Gen1 Mud Flaps
