Any particular reason you want SPC?

Heard good things about em and the fact that they can push my wheels forward to help with the rubbing.

    This is just my opinion...

I would stay away from adjustable UCAs around here because I yet to hear about a shop that will touch them during the alignment process. All of the big aftermarket UCAs have built in caster that will effectively help reduce rubbing at the rear of the wheel well without the weak point of the sliding ball joint.

Good point. May have to call couple off road shops close by see if they’ll align with those UCAs first.

What other options have high built in caster to move the wheels forward ?

Come to think of it I know the place in jasper nothing but lifts will because that’s what he gave me a quote on. But still would like to know more about the other UCAs out there that have enough built in caster to push wheels forward plenty.

Idk what nothing but lifts recommended, but that dude also told me my shitty block lift in the back would ride better than a progressive aal or replacement pack. All they wanna do is bracket lift wheel spacers and 22x14 wheels

Yeah they like spacer lifts there’s no doubt there. Most people want cheap lift and bigger tires for the looks. 500 spacer lift install vs 2000+ upgraded suspension leaves more room for wheel and tire purchase to the guy who can’t do his own work.

unless they changed, nothing but lifts did not do their own alignments.

Total chaos, icon, camburg, JBA, Dobinsons, etc. they just about all have built in positive castor.

I have icon UCAs and have 3.7* positive castor.

@ovrlndkull has some of those for sale on marketplace. Wonder if he’s still viewing this thread now and then?

Where did you get that Icon gave an added 3.7* of caster? I immediately got .5* more out of my alignment with JBAs.
I do I monitor a bunch of different threads. Sorry they are sold, not a fan. Go with the std JBA's fair price and a hell of a lot better design ball joint. I can go on my rant about the ball joints on the market but I won't. Also JBAs offer the most caster gain out of all the fixed caster control arms on the market. I know quite a few guys running SPCs they like them for the adjustment but like Trey said sometimes getting an alignment guy to actually adjust them correctly can be a real PITA and a fight. Also the balljoint in the SPC doesn't offer as much articulation as others.

So technically speaking the UCAs do not move the wheel forward a significant amount. They restore and gain some camber lost by lifting the vehicle and the geometry at which the suspension moves. Increasing caster does move the tire forward some but we are talking fractions of an inch. The biggest gain from this is actually how caster affects the arc at which the tires turn when turning the wheel. It's a lot of math. In laymans terms it helps keep the tire out of the fire wall and cab mount.

Yea I do have a CMC but I don’t rub either with my spc. I’ve got clerance for days! Could probably run a 34 with a little room to spare

Well CO then Moab. But our plans aren't 100% set in stone other than haul ass there and haul ass back to capitalize on as much wheeling time as possible.
