President Trump is coming to Scranton this coming Thursday. That means anyone travelling I81 between Wilkes Barre and Scranton will need to find another way home, work or wherever you're going.

 

But if I put on my makeup doin 80 in the left lane it's ok, right? I mean not me, for a fr, ah crap...

 

My dad was a paramedic, my mom an EMT, and my grandpa did volunteer fire fighting for 40 years. One of the things they've always said is "Just get out of the way, they might be going for one of your loved ones, and next time it might be you."

Out here in the rural areas we even move over for blue lights.

 

It seems like everywhere has asshole drivers. Just a function of people thinking they are more important than everyone else.

Going home the other day, i had a girl in front of me texting while stopped for a light. Light turns green, she doesn’t notice until i honked at her 20-30 seconds later. She then gets out of her car to bitch at me for honking. I politely told her to fuck off, put her phone down, and drive.

i can see the laws changing for phone manufacturers to disable functions while the phone is moving. My iphone has a setting to willingly do it already.

When I lived in Florida my neighbor had a cruise ship air horn on his truck scary loud. Shook the houses

I just didn’t want a train horn since everyone else has one so I had to piece my setup together

 

The hard part of disabling a phone in a vehicle is how to determine if it's a driver vs passenger.

Agreed. Boiled down, it's a matter of self control on the driver's part. Driving is, by far, the most dangerous activity we all do every day yet, I have witnessed, as most of you, driver's doing everything BUT driving!
Donning makeup, reading, eating/drinking, texting, dog in lap, smoking...

Anyone going to the Koch Toyota overland event at Famous Reading Outdoors March 20-22. I don't like that it will be crowded, but have been wanting to explore the area.
