It would be cool to see the 20 grill with the tint! Pro looks sweet with the raptor lights. Definitely a lot of people have them but same with the stick grills haha

That would be the perfect emblem if it would fit and work with the TSS.

We need someone to start making some acrylic(or similar) replacements for these badges with the TSS behind them instead of wrapping them with vinyl graphics, tint etc... I think there is some market for this. @MESO have you thought about this?

I wonder if something like those etched pieces you see on Monster and Redbull mini fridges with the logo that lights up in the glass/acrylic...possibilities are endless...lighted and non lighted options???

Since starting this thread I've been brainstorming on how I could recreate a good emblem. I don't think acrylic would be good, it fogs pretty quickly when used outside and is hard to keep from scratching. I was thinking I could 3d print something (whatever logo I wanted in any color I wanted, black in my case) and then make a mold of the factory emblem, then do some kind of clear epoxy type front (like the factory emblem) with the 3d printed back part. I still may try this.

However, I threw on the factory grill with the tinted emblem this morning and I don't think it's too bad at all. I'll run this for a bit and see what bugs me about it.

With the side by side comparison I like the Pro grill. 100% for the win! The factory with the tint looks weird. Does not flow right. Just my opinion.

I couldn't get cheese grater out of my head and had to swap it out. Just an awful grill IMO.

Too many to list. I’m lazy
Just curious if you’ve had any TSS errors with the vinyl on the emblem? Personally I hated my factory grille and went bro but if there are options for the factory one I may switch back.

I only put it back on like that a couple hours ago and haven't driven it. That is one of my concerns. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yeah I was just using acrylic as an example. There are better materials I'm just not sure what ( what is the Pro embellishment or factory badge made from?) I've got the gears turning, there are possibilities here for something unique to be done for sure. I like the smoked badge but now your headlights need some attention haha.

Any errors on this? I am looking to change up the look on mine as well and don't mind the stock look aside from the chrome emblem. I will go to the pro if I can't find a solution that fits, but I do like the look of the tinted one you made. Any issues with TSS? What kind of tint did you use?

The 20 grille is nicer looking than most, but still, that rodeo champion logo.... ugly.

Well the TRD/Pro grille is the best looking + the heritage. But we all know none of us said

" I'd buy a Tacoma if they didn't have that ugly grille"
I'm keeping mine stock to be different, lol

I like them both. The tinted factory looks pretty good actually. No chrome or go home

No errors and no issues. I used headlight tint, this stuff in particular: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017MWRSWG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My initial goal was actual to find a totally clear wrap that was a matte. I couldn't find anything so I went with the lightest tint I could find. If you (or anyone) happen to find a clear matte, I would love to hear about it.

As of right now, I've switched back to the pro grill but removed the raptor lights. I do like the factory grill, I just think a slightly lighter tint (or no tint at all but make it a matte finish) would look better.
