Getrag, Tremec, Muncie, Bendix... Trans makers all have weird names. I will say that I've never used a Tremec that didn't suck.

My vote would be for a Jerico but they don't like to do custom applications and I haven't seen one that can make to a tcase, and divorced cases are a packaging nighmare

 

I bet he just took a soldering iron to all the solder joints. Lead free solder is the worst thing ever.

Im more curious to know how he got it open without breaking all the tabs. I snapped one when I tried opening it up myself.

 

I can't say anything about the Fox Body stangs as they used a Tremec but the Tremec in my Z06 has been perfect, especially with it's short throw.

Oh I work at a hotel, a big SUV wedged themselves in between the clearance bar and the ceiling.

 

Rigged up a lighted cig lighter thats way brighter than the stock/3rd gen T4R version. Cannabalized one from a 2nd gen 4Runner that allows for the use of an LED.

The bolts holding the stub shaft tube to the diff are in there pretty fawkin good

Wonder if the factory used loc Tite or if it's just 20 years of never being touched

 

You'll need to use heat. There's FIPG holding it too.

I don't think there's any fipg. The axle seal is also on the diff side of the axle tube face instead of the outside like on a Toyota
