    Good to meet you

Grab some kitty litter and leave some piles over the mess. Helps soak it up

    Why not keep it?

Should be easy enough, do you know if its running to an aftermarket stereo or does it have its own screen?

Mission accomplished! World's slowest pit crew. Time to go drink... and then do it all again next weekend with the diff/air filters/tranny.

    Hey Y'all!

First time really poking my head in here since I moved from the Austin area, so it's time to introduce myself in the Dallas thread, Hello Peeps!

I wanted to ask for some advice and see if I could potentially get some help regarding my truck.

My clutch is starting to slip, Like bad. I'm going to need my truck to be 100% operational and reliable ASAP. That would normally be not so big of a deal considering I'm very mechanically inclined and I do all my own work, so I'm not intimidated by dropping my trans.

Here's the issue: I'm currently in USAF tech school in Wichita falls on Sheppard AFB and can NOT drop a transmission here on base, that is a big no-no. I have to be here on base every night by midnight so taking it to my hometown shop 6 hours away to wrench on it myself is a no-go.

I'm hoping to find someone within a few hours drive of me that is comfortable with this Airman-in-training ripping his truck apart in their drive way (or lift?) for a few hours, dropping a clutch and some bearings in and torquing everything back down. I'll probably won't even need any tools, I should have mostly everything or I'll go buy it (torque wrench and a few 3/8" swivels) I (should) have everything else covered even the beer if wanted!

So the alternative is dropping it off at a shop to do the clutch job for me for (at least) twice the price it would be if I did it myself. I REALLY don't want to do this as I have done clutch jobs before and want to save the money, But this may be my only choice unfortunately.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas, thanks!
