Dood! Whip it in there and give it a shot. It may not be perfect with the Dump Tubes, but I bet you still smile.

Shit. You need the PCM file. Sorry!

The single torque map does feel much like throttle cable, especially at low rpm.

26F Cold start cold drive to work this morning I still had a few bucks in 2nd gear.. Let's hope final 2.0 clears this up. If it doesn't, I'm chalking it up to cold engine characteristics of this platform. It's not a big deal, clears up after a couple blocks.

Is it possible DFCO causes this..? Only happens in 2nd gear, low rpm shifts, 30F and below.

DFCO is only active when coasting for more than a couple seconds.

The throttle was always extra sensitive on my unicorn during enrichment since day one. It is just making a lot of power on that extra fuel.

@OVTune Mat I have a simple request and I think a lot of the guys that purchased the catless tubes would agree. Could you please make the 2.0 catless tune a full out performance FOB/BFO/Fat kid tune,we deleted the cats for performance gains, might as well make the best of it ;) I think 91 and 93 versions would be ideal....OLE would be fine too.

This does make a lot of sense when you think about open loop control during warm up. I mean I could just let it idle a couple minutes. But it's hard beating old habits of jumping in driving. Part laziness, part why not use the fuel to drive instead of idling.

Same here. It warms up way faster driving, esp trucks with larger cooling systems.

For a while when new, I was catching myself out on that 1-2 shift a lot, esp near work where there was a fun corner.

I know folks who wait 5 to 10 minutes before hopping on their bikes. My motor is almost to thermostat opening within 1.5min of easy riding, in the winter.

2nd gear, cold engine, bucking that you are talking about.

Does this happen when Driving, or initially getting on the throttle?

Because there is an initial fuel spray adder that is injected when throttle is applied.
Lowering this value can cause bucking when fuel is applied. Increasing the value smoothens it.

I'd wager at very cold engine temps you need more fuel when first applying throttle

to be fair, if you sprayed me with your hot fuel, I’d definitely buck all over the place.

For me, it is when initially getting on the throttle after a 1-2 shift. The truck just wants to boogey if I give it a bit too much throttle, which makes it a rough shift. Most all of the time, I don't get on it with a cold motor and have trained my foot to not get in it that deep. Sometimes I over do it though.

Can vouch for this,if you hit it just right the truck just comes alive,I wish it ran like that in all gears. I would say the rough shift is operator induced...

Exactly. But at that level of enrichment, we'd be filling up every 200mi.

You don't already...? I get about 13mpg on winter gas/cold tempsrpyqxrxKyMXHnavCpZzV.gif 17-19 once we get the good gas and warm weather. Of course I am rolling heavy @5300# on 32" E plys as well.

Hahahaha! The tunes do seem to eat more fuel in colder starting temps. Not sure why with how good they do otherwise. But, I'm still hanging around 19mpg these days with it coming up for the warmer mornings and the One Map tune.

With summer blend and temps, I'm expecting 21-ish?

The one size larger SL Wildpeaks maybe stole 0.5mpg? They have paid back hugely in other ways though.

Yes,almost 1k# over curb weight on heavier, taller E ply's,speedo is calibrated with hypertech module for tire size. My daily drive to work is exactly 1 mile one way. I would burn more fuel letting it get to operating temp than I do just hopping in and driving there..lol. I get better on the highway once it is warmed up but winter gas never gets me over 17

2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road Manual 4WD Double Cab Short Box/Curb weight is 4,445 lbs. I am just a bit over 5300#'s

My 2018 has done this in cold temps with factory tune, fob, beta, single torque. Bucks the worst while driving- low rpm 1-2 shift, say after a stop sign in town. If I feather the throttle, it doesn't do it. It clears up after a couple stop signs.

That is still a lot better than you would get in other trucks and you still get to smile while rowing.
