The key is generated by the other .exe file. Act. . . Something. Enter the data requested and it gives you a key to paste in.

I'm not familiar with the MT Tacomas. What issue/issues do they have when they are all stock, before any mods?

Much the same engine issues as the ATs. No bottom end torque, surging when poking the throttle, the 3,500rpm surge, and a couple other things. Also on the MT specific side, we have DFCO cut in surges and Rev Hang.

The OE tune was a shit show. The TSB tune and OVT actually improve shifting due to reliable and consistent engine output.

Edit: This very last Beta / test tune is like cable throttle nirvana though. It is twice as good as it needs to be. Top of the class kind of shit.

The announcement was that the sale will be over and no other sales will be happening until 2.0 drops. And, that 2.0 will drop in early March. No date was given.

Yes it is, but Mat said early March and I would be surprised if we had full release by the 15th. Not knocking Mat,but stuff happens and he has dozens of file variations to write code for.

Wow, I used to drive mostly mt vehicles back in the day. I can imagine how bad the mt Tacomas must perform. Thanks for the insight.

    You're welcome!

It was bad, but with OVT, we are in a really good spot now. 1.05 FOB made it feel like a normal v6. I think 2.0 is gonna be big.

I have my complaints about the MT but it’s far less complaints than I have about the AT. 50k on my old AT, 100k on my MT.

Ok, so I don't know what it is, either I'm an idiot:anonymous: or my computer sucks ass:smash:! But I tried over and over to do the 04B03 to 04B04 update myself and the shit ain't happenin'! I downloaded WINZIP to unzip the files and seems to work but still I get nowhere.I even tried to uninstall everything and start over and it wouldn't completely do that either:frusty:! I still don't know where to find the "new key" in the registration part of the TS process, let alone the next part in the TIS asking what user type and region code. Unless when you put the "new key" in it skips that part. Anyone in the Amarillo TX that can save me PLEEAAASE! Yes, I have turned off my real time scanning. And my wife is laughing at me!!:goingcrazy:

I've heard so many complaints about the AT its self, I assumed the MT owners were smelling the roses.

I think most of the M/T guys are happy after going 04B13 doing the ADM and having OVTune. Only gripes I am aware of yet to be resolved are DEFCO and rev hang. There are a couple guys not happy with the shift between 1st and 2nd in the factory transmission. There is a huge gap in between 1st and second gear ratios that reminds me of the compound low of the old 60's 4 speeds you would find in GM trucks.

It took me about 2days. I was pissed. Felt like an idiot that didn’t know squawk. @Shellshock helped me the most. I think many others have become quite savvy since than, it was a while ago. Anyhow, I’m sure once they’re all in from Saturdays activities you’ll get it sorted with one of the guys.

Turning off real time scanning might not be enough. For one installation, I had to turn off ransomware and walware checks also. Are you using just Windows Defender or something else? If so, be sure that both are off.

Then, re-download the zip file. I know it sucks, but I have yet to hear of any bad activity from this. The plain truth is that all these ECU programs trip antivirus like mad. The a/v programs often quarantine or delete the key generator file, which might be why your wife is having a good time with it. :D

Once you're done and updated, scan your computer until your happy. Malwarebytes and eset are a couple great online scanners that should give you a lot of confidence. Myself, Windows Defender has done a great job over the years.

Tonight is the final night of the sale.
Beta blog post will be up for a little while longer due to pending registrations and for anyone still needing to download. But it will be removed next week.
