Good morning. 10° this morning was thinking of shooting skeet. Nah..

Have my first motorized blind coming today finally getting around to replacing the blinds in the house one at a time. Need to put in an outlet above it right now a wire comes out of the wall there and is hard wired into a fluorescent light above the sink. o_O I'm sure it will turn into a major project. As long as I am putting in a smart blind might as well put in a smart LED tube light also.

A little of this and a little of that.
Good morning. Enjoy the rare leap year day.

My grandfather (maternal) was born on Feb. 29, 1912. He passed away when I was only 2 years old, but my Mom has great stories of the years that he was able to celebrate his birthdays on the 29th.

Torision spring broke on one of the garage doors last nite.will need to get one and replace.buddy installs garage doors on the side.he will pop by and help me torque it. he always warns me you have to be careful with them when you torque them.they can hurt you if your not careful.

Yes they can. Interviewed a guy a couple of years ago that was missing 2 fingers. At some point in the interview he mentioned that those garage door springs can take your fingers off with no hesitation. Not sure how it even came up for a Systems Admin position, but it certainly stuck with me.

Well I did my good deed for the year...just finished getting gas and this old guy walks up to me, asks if I have jumper cables.
Sure do, where are you parked at?
About a mile that way he says. Bit of a trek for a 90 year old. Not exactly an ideal day for anyone to be out walking thanks to the wind.
I tell him to hop in and we take off back towards his car. It takes me a minute to get the cables set thanks to the design of the Chebby - the negative terminal is against the firewall, under the hinge that holds up the hood. Finally get it set up and he starts up his car, hops back out and starts telling me he wants to write me a check for $10 for my help. I told him not to worry about it.
