Newest addition to the family. You guys won't believe how I ended up with him.

A coworker of mine was driving home from work, and the car in front him threw the dog out at a stop sign on a busy street and sped away!:(

Co-worker chased the guy down and got license plate #, then went back to get the puppy. Brought him to the vet, and long story short I adopted him....8 weeks old. Black lab, looks to have a little chow in him (curly tail, blue spot on tongue).

Poor little guy didn't know what to think at first but he's coming around.

Here's a shot of him with my other dog, a 3 year old female.

    UPDATE

Buster is 4 months old now and has gained 25 pounds since I got him! His paws are already bigger than my female lab, Remy's.

He adores Remy and follows her everywhere. She's taking a liking to him as well, since she figured out they have the same goals in life:
    1. Eat
    2. Sleep
    3 Play

He also loves riding in the truck, and likes to lay under it in his spare time. He got a clean bill of health from the vet last month. :) He's got more present under the tree right now from various relatives than me and my wife do combined!

    nice looking dog!

Good to see that there are still people out there who have a love for animals and will do anything they can to save them.

    Big thumbs up to you!

careful. when he gets older he might fuck your bitch and get'er pregnant. then you'll be stuck with a whole litter.

you did a good thing, though.

**This happened to me when i adopted a puppy. he got my older dog preggers when he got older. so yes, i did have to say this.

Thanks guys! I just can't believe how terrible people are...he would have been hit by a car within minutes...

He just doesn't realize how good he's going to have it yet..

She's fixed, and he will be within a year, so no worries there.

That is similar to the way I got my beagles.. There was a mother and 4 puppies on the side of the interstate. One got killed by a car, and the mother and one puppy escaped into the woods. But I got the other two. This was ten years ago, so I was six haha. Oh and cute puppy haha, lucky little guy too.

Thanks to everyone. I'm still really heartbroken that someone would do this to an innocent dog....

I named him Buster. I'll post some more pics tomorrow of him... he loves my truck because it takes him to the lake to swim! About the only thing positive he's had in his life so far :(.

It is heartbreaking and sickening yes but, at the same time it was probably the best thing that could have happen to Buster. I know that sounds kind of f'ed up to say but just think, his life will be 1000x better now that he has you.
Can't wait to see more pics.
