I installed my puddle pod kit this past weekend. Not too difficult but give yourself plenty of time so you don't have to rush through it. Thanks to everyone who posted tips and pictures in this thread.

I had to do the same thing on my 2019. That smaller connector didn't have much slack in it either so it was a little tricky to get things situated in there but my A-pillar cover went back on without a bulge.

Brought the truck in for maintenance and a tech asked if “the lights” were a dealer option? I said, “No they are a MESO option.”... and walked away. He looked very confused :notsure::rofl:

@MESO those switches are beauty. Installation was super easy, can’t say enough good things about the work you do.

PS you should look into doing an Anytime backup camera as I see a lot of people complaining about quality issues and inconsistencies between kits. Your quality is always top notch. But I know you’re very busy!

I would give meso my first born son for a meso-designed anytime backup/front/left/right/aux camera kit

I second this. But I don't have any children... I offer MESO a sacrificial lamb in addition to kecknj's first born.

Have any of those people simply tried a different camera? I got one off Amazon for less than 40$ and it’s as good as my oem rear cam. I don’t have a controller for it yet and I just plugged it into my crux box to check the quality. I’ll probably just end up with the anytimebackupcamera switch and harness only option. Unless MESO designs something and then I’d most likely buy that lol.

I may be going crazy after a 'lazy Sunday' installing all my lastest Meso Mods...but I think I'm having an issue with the switch or a connection somewhere:

It works as intended with the Auto function when I open the doors and shuts off shortly after closing them. However, the Manual function doesn't seem to be working at all and I am not getting any backlight on the switch itself even though I purchased the newest harness that should have the pin included. I did double-check all the connections before closing up all the paneling.

Note: I did have an issue midway through the build where some wires came out of their connector but I immediately noted where they came from and took my time making sure they went back in and stayed in place the remainder of the job.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like you don’t have a proper ground to the switch. Double check where you bolted the black ground ring(coming off the switch) making sure it has a proper metal ground.
Manual mode relies on that to be grounded(so it grounds the puddle lights) this turning them on. The backlight also requires the same ground because it’s only has +12V illumination coming in the main harness.

Exact same thing happened to me while installing today. The on switch doesn’t work for me either but I also haven’t grounded it yet. I’ll finish setting it up tomorrow and report back.
