I just had a set of 265/75r16’s BFGoodrich TA KO2 installed on SCS F5’s. I have not lifted my truck but the coil overs on the truck have been replaced not sure the age they are aftermarket no name. I have some rubbing in the front and back of the front wheel wells. Everything I read online said they would fit with no rubbing. Would an alignment help? Would a lift in the front fix it? I really don’t want to cut.

Do you still have your mud flaps on? Is there a little plastic flap in front of your wheel?

It's the rims, if you put a leveling kit it will easily fix that issue, but other than that an alignment, or cutting is needed.

@Bishop84 you think an alignment alone will fix it? That seems like the best option for me I’d rather not cut it

I would look into replacing those front coils/struts. Your front end looks like it’s sitting abnormally low.

I don't think there is any chance any alignment alone can fix this. Were you are rubbing front and back the only option is to cut or lift. We just cut our truck and it is a bit painful at first to your truck but it was pretty quick and after spraying it with undercoat you can even notice.

@Navigator1 do you think if I replaced with stock height coil overs it would fix this? I would like to do a 2 inch lift but I know I’m going to have to replace my driver side CV bearing with the ECGS clamshell. Current my CV axle has a lot of play but no vibes. I’m sure if I do a lift it I will get the vibe issue

The fronts you could easily fix with a hair dryer/heat gun. Just heat it up and push it in. And the rears, maybe a 2” or bigger block

This is what the truck looked like prior to the new tire install, on level surface.

This is the height to the top of the wheel wells. I measured on a flat surface and the driveway as pictured before there was no change. 721A176D-DBB9-4872-A4F5-7959022996E0.jpg

Do you think if I level the truck (2 in. In the front) it would fix my issue? Also worried about having to replace the needle bearing in the front diff I have no vibes but this is what my CV shaft play looks like.

My driveway is steeper than that and I don’t have that issue.
How many miles are on the front suspension? If it’s a lot I would be looking for fresh coils for the front. That might be what you mean by leveling. I would just steer clear of spacers because I think you have another issue that a spacer would just be a bandaid for. You could always grab a set of 3rd gen takeoffs. They are cheap with little to no miles and should get you about 1” over stock.

When you say "look pretty wide", do you mean they poke out a lot?
I'm seeing those in either a 0 or -25mm offset.
0 offset you can work with.

    -25mm offset, I think you're screwed.
That's 2-1/2" of poke with an added 2" of positive scrub. That means you're tire no longer pivots at close to center; the new pivot is 2" further inboard. This means the tire will travel in a arc, forward/backward in the wheel well as you turn.

Another side effect of increased positive scrub, is a lower wheel rate(effective spring rate). This could explain some of your reduced height in front.

I never had a problem. I was at 1.25” and now I’m up to about 2.25”. I’ve seen plenty of TW folks that have had no problem at all and then others that are chasing issues. These trucks each seem to have a personality of their own so I don’t know that anyone can really promise anything.

The kit you’re looking at is a good bang for your buck. But it’s pretty much a once and done height. I personally went with the 6112 so I could start with less lift and see how I liked it before going up more.

My thought for you on starting with some 3rd gen struts/coils was you’ll gain back whatever sag you might have going on as well as add the extra inch over the stock 2nd gen height. You can probably find a set with little to no miles for under $100.

I usually go with the trial and error method on this stuff. But if you’re paying someone to do the install that can add up quick. I recommend learning how to do it yourself. That way you can spend the budget on nicer parts rather than paying a mechanic. But to each their own on that one.
