Are you getting kickbacks from this guy, or just really like his videos?

Neither lol. Actually I only linked to one of his videos before those two on here, others have been dropping LTT links more than I have.

AFAIK only LTT and Tom's Hardware have played with the prototype Thermosyphon and only LTT makes videos out of those two.

The last link is because his points are valid, shits going to start selling out soon unless production resumes and that'll drive prices higher just like what happened in the crypto booms.

Do you think it'll be a blanket increase with prices, or just the items that aren't stocked in wholesale units that'll be depleted as time goes on?

I'm assuming things like memory has to be more plentiful because of how common it is and it's physical size not being an issue to store. Where as things like cpu and gpu might not push as much volume?

It depends what happens in the next month or so. If production of basic parts like PCBs resumes in China prices should increase slightly but stay reasonable. If PCB production doesn't restart though or stays at reduced levels and Korea, where most of the world's NAND flash (SSDs) and DRAM chips are made, suddenly has an outbreak like Japan has the skies the limit. Actually I read an article yesterday that suggested most SSDs are already about 25% under priced and will probably go up by at least that much by summer, so odds are now is the time to buy if you're looking for an upgrade.

For reference check out the HDD shortage caused by a hurricane a few years ago. Hard drives basically doubled in price and didn't come back down for over a year.

Should I just prioritize a 1/2tb sata ssd?

I'll still look towards an nvme for the games, probably just wont do one as large.

Yeah, I'd overall try to buyer components sooner than later if you're building something in the near future. SSDs seem to be the only item though where the consensus is that the price will go up significantly soon.

I'd just try to get everything together as soon as you can. Basically everything computer contains a part made in China, nothing is really immune.

There's really no advantage to going m.2 over sata when it comes to game storage. The load times are almost identical from the comparisons i've seen. Maybe a couple seconds at most.

Also, seems like a lot of the read/write speeds of the lesser nvme are barely above the sata ssd? I looked at that one and it seems to be in between the higher performance ones and budget ones?

Just recently revamped my PC a bit. First pic is how it was configured when I first built it. The rest are progress pics of me moving deleting the HDD cages, relocating that panel to the rear and the finished product. I have since flipped the fans on the cooler so that they are intake fans.
