Isn't the bolt pattern different? Like the actual location of the studs are in different positions.

Same bolt pattern, but it's rotated different. Only really a problem with coilovers, as with a regular shock you can just rotate the bottom eye.

    I guess I misspoke though-

Only really a problem with coilovers with resis as the hose need to be in the right spot and can't be rotated.

TBH, I like it a lot more without the swingarm when you have the camper shell on. I dunno when the rack is back though.

Looks kinda naked to me, but I guess it's what I'm used too. Doesn't matter really, gotta have a way to carry the spare.

I've been wanting to inspect the bearings and spindle for a while anyway. But mostly to make it easier to remove the bed.

Swapped out the dash bulbs. Did cool white in the gauge cluster and green everywhere else. Used a 4Runner climate control unit to get rid of the orange film and give me green AC and Recirc buttons. Also used a green pre 2001 clock and a lighted cig lighter from a 2nd gen 4Runner.

Snuck over to do some work on the pile. Dropped the spare tire and removed the hoist (which I'm gonna find a replacement for.) I ran my VIN and it doesn't fall under the recall that is outstanding. (I may call the dealer to see if they're willing to replace it but ... in reality it'll be 'cheaper' from a 'having to put the bed on and take it someplace and wait and have them screw something up' for me to not deal with trying to deal with the dealer)
    before.jpg
    spare-tire-hoist.jpg

I had my mechanic check the hitch and we feel that it's good to go for another round so I wire brushed it down and primed/painted it
    primer-tow-hitch.jpg
    painted-tow-hitch.jpg

Then took some time to sand down the spots on the frame which were rusted. (and primed, painted and put things back together) getting closer to being ready to get back to my bodywork on the bed!

Wow that’s bad. I’m one of the few on here that went with energy suspension down there instead of white line. For everyone’s sake I hope your experience with those bushings is just an outlier..... this also makes me a little scared that my energy suspension bushings may not be as happy as I assumed they were. Time to go poke around in the garage now.

The main issue is the cams are maxed. Rear cam is all the way out and front cam is all the way in, which pushes the arm kinda crooked in the mounts. I'm also not very easy on my rig, so I wouldn't worry to much about it for most applications.

Don't know, look at your cams. I'm just saying my front and back cams were opposite one another.

that frame actually looks like its in extremely good condition compared to the weathered surrounding items! i would've expected much worse peeling coating
what is your secret keeping it so nice?
