Went in looking for interesting bottles and came out with this one. Pretty happy to add it to my arsenal!

Told my wife it's a bummer that I just burned through my February liquor budget :cookiemonster:

As far as drinking goes... for now I'm still on Bourbon, and this Jr. Batch 11 is getting too low to leave unattended.

That's a nice grab there! Also that batch 11 is really tasty. It reminds me of cherry coke.

I'm a huge fan of Batch 11. Wish these Jrs were more widely available nowadays, but there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

My first time blind tasting batch 11 was against GTS '17 and '18, I picked the Jr over '18... blew me away.

Headed to a wedding. I had to prep.

It is our neighbor's sister. We don't really know the bride that much, but got the invite anyways because our neighbors are such good friends and wanted drinking partners .

The bride to be did come over one night and I took her on a whiskey journey. She settled on peated scotch being her thing, believe it or not. The Ardbeg was an inexpensive tagalong in case she wants to ditch the champagne at the reception.;)

Killed the Jr., then put away a little Laphroaig CS, and now it's time for a nightcap. This stuff here is like a dense strawberry strudel up front. Rich stewed fruit, flaky cinnamon pastry, and vanilla icing... all rounded out with earthy tobacco and leather. Damn good whisky.

    None....yet.
Any of you folks have any thoughts on the Singleton 12 single malt? Dollar days at the liquor store, so my old lady bought a bunch of tequila and a bottle of this... after the first glass, I like it. It's a bit sharp off the bat, but goes down nice and I'm instantly (INSTANTLY) happier than I was before I poured that glass.

    Damn good eye!

It's one of my go to shirts.

I got it at the Heaven Hill distillery after our tour!

I went by Costco to pick up a bottle of Kaiyo whisky this morning. They have it for $15 less than anywhere else around here. Stupid me got a late start and by the time I got there the crowd was ridiculous. 15-20 people per register with giant overfilled carts. I just couldn't stand there for 30 minutes so I put the bottle back and left. On the long walk back to my car I saw this lady sitting there waiting for someone to get to their car, unload 2 carts of groceries and leave. She was just hanging there for the longest time. Going to Costco is almost as bad as going to Walmart!

Picked this one up on a whim while we were up 'touristing' at the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Saw their sign on the way back to the house we'd rented and pulled in right before they closed for the day. Even their $20 bottles are good; not a whole lot of peat, though. More toffee and malty.
