Ordered my flash kit during the sale. Anyone know if it’s possible to use a Surface tablet for the install? Assuming as long as it’s standard Windows 7/10 I should be ok. My work PC is too locked down to use and all my personal devices are Apple.

Yes. Surface on Win10 with no problems.

 

I just partitioned my MacBook and it works great. Took about 10 minutes to set up.

 

Any PC running Windows 7/10 with a USB 2.0-3.0 port will work, as will a Bootcamped Mac.

 

Cool, thanks for the replies. My 2017 is updated to the 04B04 so it’s just a matter of getting the flash done. I grabbed the 2.0 beta files last night so I have copies of those if the full 2.0 isn’t out by the time my flash kit arrives. Looking forward to the tune.

Damn - Just got back from a camping trip. Was going to order before leaving but didn’t have time... I get back and the Tax Sale code doesn’t work anymore, even though listed on the banner of the website still. Is there any chance I still get the sale price? Had full intention of ordering due to this sale :/

I definitely understand that but had no idea the sale was going to end yesterday, else I would have ordered sooner. I’ve been unable to follow this thread on a daily basis.

 

Could always buy a used kit on the marketplace. The license from OVTune is like 325 on top of the used hardware. I ended up saying about $100 that way.

I just now saw that notice. Last week when I was browsing the site it did not appear else I would have snapped it up. Ugh.

 

It was there since day 1 or at least 1/30 when I ordered. Maybe he'll be feeling generous and help you out.

 

In the context of offroad vehicle mistakes.... this is a relatively cheap “oops”. Chalk one up to a busy life and keep on with a smile.
