PDF template for splash guard / fender liner thingies

    A few tweaks
    A while back I made new inner fender liner gasket things because mine were pretty bad.

    I posted a template on my build thread, but no one ever goes there so I figured I should start a post here.

    I drew in CAD, printed out and tested with some foam underlayment stuff I had in the basement. After about 5 revisions, I came up with this design. It tucks in a littlecloser than the factory ones did - also extends to where the washer bottle used to be on the passenger side. If you still have the factory washer bottle you simply trim off the front.

    Attached is a zip file with all of the PDFs. You can print 1:1 on 8-1/2 x 11 sheets of paper and tape together to get a full sized template. CAD drawing also attached if you would like to build on my work.

    I found a sheet of rubber at the hardware store and cut them from that. It's held up fine for a few years now.

    Would love feedback if anyone tries it.

    Thats really cool, thank you.
    Just got the green beastie running again this month and this was just another item that needed to be serviced/replaced. Hopefully within the next 2/3 weeks I should have this done and will post results.

    I got a set from rad rubber. All started ok but about 2 years later, they are all cracked up and falling apart. If you are gonna make these yourself, use some good quality epdm rubber or I once made a set out of PVC roofing membrane and they seemed to last. It is really important to have these in the rust belt......

    Hey Thanks cazinpa! This is great! I wanted to make a template myself but I've got missing chunks in my splash guards. I'm gonna give your template a try. I'm hoping the pattern is the same for an 01 Taco.

    I bought a box of generic ones a year and a half ago that have held up perfectly since then. I'm home early next week and will edit this post with details then.

    The original nylon retainers for the fender seals are Toyota 90080-46327, I believe. I got a set of fifty generic ones by Auveco for $9 from Amazon (vendor clipsandfasteners) a couple of years ago and they worked perfectly.

    If the sheets of paper are 8.5” on this diagram and there are two sheets needed, the one size would have to be close to 15” tho?

    Ah yeah, good catch. I bet they have bigger ones.

    Seems like something with a durometer in the 60-70 range would be good.

    So I have king coils and struts that lift it 1.5” in the front.
    So I guessing I need a taller footprint?
