So buy a 2J then and get going. The engine isn't that spendy. It's the turbos and engine management that costs a pretty penny.

parts in general aren't cheap for 2j's.

fitting one in a taco isn't cheap either, not bad though. Someday...

On another note. I have a semi productive day.

Swapped the coil packs around in hopes of making it throw a code in another cylinder but couldn't get it too while driving around today. Threw a lot yesterday when we tried to go exploring but hit major mud and turned around. It does drive better though, only slips here and there which is odd as it was real bad not to long ago. Not sure if new fluid really helped or if it was just mis firing that badly...

So washed the truck and went about installing my new DD SS3 fog lights. Enjoyed getting to make the harness.

Going to just wire them into my stock Marker lights. Don't have them anymore anyways and one of the connectors has been destroyed since I hit the deer.

Just need to get a better quick connector as I didn't have anything on hand I preferred. But so far, love the beam pattern. Excited to seem them outside in the the real world. Can't wait for the 2 LED version to come out this late summer for the DD. The color will be perfect for seeing in flat light white out conditions I have to deal with too often.

I have they're usually pretty good about responding. But I haven't bought anything with them since trail gear acquired them

Yeah I never had a problem with them. But I did once but was a back ordered part.

Also to our resident Seattle folks @turbodb @Digiratus how's it like living in ground zero of the virus?

Life goes on (for us at least). Definitely on people's minds around here, but so far I don't feel like you can see a huge shift if you're just going about your day. More cognizant of hand washing, etc. of course.

There are pockets of course where shifts have happened, but not directly impacting us at this point - Amazon and Microsoft have asked people to work from home, several private schools have closed for a few weeks. Public schools (in Seattle, and elsewhere AFAIK) are all still in session, with daily updates to parents about cleaning procedures, etc.

To me, it's a little interesting to see how this is highlighting societal imbalances. My experience so far is that those who are very well off are more likely to "panic" or be more in a state of "self preservation" - isolating themselves/families - because they can afford to. Seems like not a good thing to me.

Despite all the news/hype that shelves are emptying of supplies, I've not seen any shortages (of food, paper goods, etc.) in our grocery stores (we regularly visit 3). Haven't been to Costco (which is normal, not because we're avoiding it).

yeah I wouldn't think it would be a huge difference. But I've read a lot about the imbalance you're talking about. Most won't be able to do anything about it.

Even here, not a lot people could do to stay home for an extended period of time. Myself included.

I can and would take the time if I came down with something, others at my work have had the flu and a pretty nasty cough (took one dude down for 2 weeks and change) but management has been understanding about it. Right now our supplies dealer cannot get us Niosh N95 masks for our work, which is annoying since we have to work with phenolic and fiberglass a decent amount. But we pulled out some old cartridge style masks and are making due. It's like any other sickness to me, stay away from sick fucks, tell the sick fucks at work to go home, wash your hands (which I already do a lot), and just generally be cautious about what you touch both on yourself and around you.

Pretty much how it is across the water on the Peninsula too. The wife and I have noticed people grabbing more than normal on some stuff but not really causing any abnormal shortages. Hand Sanitizer is the one thing that is constantly out. But otherwise its no different than normal shopping days where by the end of the day shelves are looking a bit sparse till the night crew comes in to restock.

The wife who works at one of the hospitals has heard some rather frustrating things from "patients" coming into the clinic and ER though.Been a few "There was an Asian person who coughed on the bus I want tested" and " I ate at an Asian place so now Im scared i got the virus". granted they tend to deal with low income and often people with mental disabilities but these have been more "normal" people
