Installed a Tech Deck from Birddawg Industries. Solid product but I was disappointed with the finish. Contacted company who said they had some issues with the finish and offered to take it back. Opted for a couple coats of spray paint.

Took about an hour or so to put in (extreme version so I had to pull the radio). Solid mount when done.

    thanks!
Yea, I used a 2’ pipe over the socket wrench to make sure I had plenty of leverage. Never would’ve got them out with just the wrench alone.
And fwiw, I got the new bolts for about $11.50 each new from the dealer. Still pricey!

A strategically placed pipe wrench on the bolt head will loosen most of them. You need to push down really hard on the pipe wrench while turning it.

Yea man, I wasn't thrilled about it either but I was happy w/ the convenience and speed of oem delivery. I didn't feel like searching for a bolt w/ the right thread and length. I know thats lazy because I'm sure there's some out there.
For anyone else who wants oem, I went through Norwalk Toyota.

    Yipes.

I did mine today too actually. I installed some bed stiffeners so I figured I’d pull em all and anti seize em while I was at it. I was able to impact 5 of the 6 out and reuse.

Still gotta figure out how to get the last one out without destroying the head of it if possible.

    Installed TC bed stiffeners

    upload_2020-3-1_22-13-55.jpg

The top of the bed pulled in about 1/4” and the tailgate gap looks better.

Tweaked the straps for the diy Trasharoo to lift it up higher.

    upload_2020-3-1_22-16-0.jpg

And I made a diy BPF cooling panel type thing

Guess we're thinking alike. I'm doing the bed stiffeners tomorrow. Noticed my bed rails spreading out a bit from carrying some stuff on the bed bars. Sounds like they helped your situation out?
And yea, if a good extension doesn't help, pipe wrench would be my next attempt.

The TC bed stiffeners definitely pulled the top of the bed back in.

I think they’re a must if you put any weight on the bed rails. I’ve had the shell on the truck for 2 years now and I’ve neglected to install a set.
