I’ve narrowed my options down to Dirt King, Camburg or SPC ball joint Upper Control Arms? What are your thoughts on which one to get. Going to install them with a 3” Bilstein lift soon.

Depends if u plan on wheeling or just street/dirt road driving. Not sure how spc adjustable will hold up if your beating it wheelin'!! And 3" will kind of stress the cvs offroading 4wd also. Uniball uca will give a bit more travel but need lube.

It’s my daily driver so mainly streets then a few dirt roads to take me out where I go hunting or fishing. I don’t wheel hard, just cruise down some dirt roads

The spc are adjustable right? Better to dial in alignment and help with rub of new tire size if thats your plan

Yes they are adjustable. I’m really wanting to go to 285/75/17s so that would also help dial in where I want my alignment to be so I don’t rub on the bigger tires

I run the SPCs on my 4Runner with everything from fast'ish desert to slow rock garden stuff for over 20K now without issue. Many times with the adjustability of the SPCs you can get away without doing a BMC as well.
You just need to be certain you have an alignment shop that knows how to dial them in.

Perfect. I’ve heard lots of good things about SPC but then I’ve also heard not such good things either. But mainly more are good than bad! I’m really leaning towards them at the moment

Uniballs were designed for race use and they squeak when they're ready for more lubrication. Enjoy that part. They also don't last as long as a standard ball joint.

I’m only gonna get ball joints. I don’t wanna bother with the maintenance of uniballs

the spcs will hold up just fine. Had them on my Tacoma and I put 50k miles on them. On abs off-road with spirited off road driving.

What’s the max miles you think you could get out of the SPCs?

yes I like them, I had zero issues. This is petty though. I just wish they had color options. Wanted to color match my kings. Lol

Actually a misnomer. Uniballs have typically around a total of ~65 to a MAX of 70* of misalignment, not much more if any than a stock ball joint. SPC joints are up around 80-83* of misalignment and i think the ball joints JBA uses are up close to 90*. The uniball uppers get more travel by adjusting how the cup is rotated with respect to travel to max utilize its stockish range of motion.

Either way OP.... get a sealed ball joint style arm, either SPC or JBA and enjoy doing much less maintenance on the arms than uniball users.
