Ok... So, I saw you guys talking about the Netflix show about Gabriel Fernandez.

3 episodes in... and oh my god. I can not even fathom how that can be done to a child. It defies explination.

And how did the "system" completely fail this poor boy... I haven't gotten to that point in the story yet.

 

I get real emotional with these things and I do dumb things motivated by those emotions. I did not make it to the end because I was angry. I can't finish it.

So my wife and I took a drive this morning and just got home. I love being locked in all day. Crazy roads I haven't seen in years, washouts
trees, rocks, thankfully no mud! On our way out to the highway saw a smoldering fire. and had no way to transport water to it. Had to call it in. Well no service. We were screwed, the wind 30-40 mph and embers flying. Did what we could and drove like Andretti to nearest cal fire. I now have two buckets in the truck!

Yea. My kid had a bday party today in a nice area, parents said it was ok for them to run around the neighborhood and play nerf guns....i wasn't to happy about it. Helicopter parent, yup...
