I've been reading a worrying amount of "prepping" going on by the masses on twitter.. which might create somewhat of a self fulfilling shit storm as it relates to food shortages etc...

Robinhood been down for nearly 2 hours now while this big ol' ramp is taking place... already filed complaint to the SEC. Probably for nothing.

Gonna finally move my money over to Schwab. Account's been open for a while now with no money in it. That was opened a few months ago... you know, the last time Robinhood went down. No more of this.

I think it's just a return to reality, not a dead cat bounce.

There's little time to react if your brokerage firm is broken. I would take my money out of that service and never look back. That's crazy, how is Robinhood still in business?!

 

good question.. I think a lot of folks will be removing their money from the platform after this (me included)

 

Even though I am new to the game and have been using Robinhood , this is absurd.

 

Still down, been 2 hours now. TVIX plummetting. Yippee.

 

The worst part is, getting your money out would take a while. What about any missed gains, or loss sales, or even if someone needed the money just to use it? I would expect a lot of lawsuits to come from this.

 

yeah, I'm down 5% in that portfolio today, and the only reason I can even see that, is because I manually entered my share # and avg cost into Yahoo Finance this morning..

 

I have money in Robinhood and money in Webull.
Fortunately there's nothing I feel compelled to do right now with the funds in Robinhood or I'd be livid!

Webull seems to be working just fine.
Honestly, any internet service is probably subject to outages occasionally. Was it a year or two ago that almost all of AWS was down for the better part of a day?

 

I'm starting to get pretty fucking pissed. I'm down 7.3% now.

I wonder what recourse there is....
