    I do not think that it could be any better. There has not been one time where I was caught out, and there have been plenty of times where the perfect response has surprised me.

    Only you and one other person has responded to how the response is.

    Has nobody else tested??

    Hi everyone. I just joined the forum.

    I have a 2018 TRD Off Road MT with about 25k miles, that I just flashed with the 1.05 base 87 tune. WOW!

    I was ready to sell the truck I was so pissed with the throttle response and all the other typical issues of the stock factory tune.

    OVTune has made this a new truck! It will be fun to experiment with the other tunes...I am really happy I made the investment!

    As a newbie to all this I have a couple questions I have not found the answers to yet.

    1. My truck has the 04A70 ECU. What would I gain by getting the 04A71 ECU?
    2. In the ToyFlash utility (1.2.2) what is "Reset LV" and "Reset AT?"

    Thanks!

    Thanks, @RedBeard1 ! Much appreciated.

    @OVTune said:
    A lot of folks say that 04A71 is big change on their 2018s. Although, a few said that it was a minor to no difference. I think there was only one or two folks who did the TSB tunes and said life was worse.

    The Resets remove all stored values from the ECU and allow you to get a pure setup after a flash. The first time that I used them, there was a very big difference in the way the tunes worked. All positive in my experience. Since, nothing to really discern, but still great performance.

    Honestly, most interested in your exhaust setup. I've been looking at the dirty deeds kit, but frankly, I feel like I could do most of the re-route work with the help of a local shop for half the price. Tube diameter and component combinations are really the only X factor and it sounds like you've tried a few combinations. If you dont wanna share the secret sauce, I understand. But if you do . . .

    Feedback sent. Pretty much on point with what @tonered has said. It made a huge difference in drivability in my truck. 2nd gear is also way better in the <2000 rpm range.

    and I haven’t had any jerky 1-2 shifts... so that’s a win.

    Completely surprising here also. It now feels the way it should, but even better than I could have expected.

    I'm prepared to have my mind blown with the full version. :boom:
