According to RCI, the sport diff drains on the driver's side, and the off road and pro diff drain on the passenger side.

 

Sounds like you need to get a refund or sell it and pick up the $35 one @G.T. was telling you about. only other option is to drill a new hole and spray the edges with rustoleum.

Ultimately sounds like Toyota needs to put them all on the same side or RCI needs to have people specify that when ordering.

 

DP is a sport and mine is on the right side........
Maybe they are thinking 8" and 8.75"????

 

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that the sport manuals, off roads, and pros have the 8.5 inch ring gear, vs the 8 inch in the other trims.
