I work evenings, so I basically get up at 10-11 and ride until 4:30 every day it's not raining. I'll usually just pick a random town or restaurant on the map and go explore the back roads. Sometimes on Saturdays I'll take 300-400 mile road trips and go to the Dragon, etc. I also ride 40 miles round trip to work 5-6 days a week. All those little trips add up to a thousand or two miles a month, which have just added up over the past 5 years.

No kidding. My Grom cruises at 55-58, so racking up miles is as fast and easy as any other bike. I couldn't imagine doing that at 25 mph

I don't know where you're headed in FW but you can take White Settlement all the way in and out of FW to Weatherford. FWIW

Yeah I'm living basically kiddie corner to the zoo, so a detour north only makes sense when I've got nothing to do. Which I think will probably happen more when the bike is rolling again.

You're in God's Country down there! It takes me 40 miles to get to a road I enjoy riding! I am jealous. I will be down there first weekend of June for some fishing, but I won't be riding the bike.

I tried to make a video comparing the two but it sounded like crap. It's not a lot louder but has a nice rumble to it that didn't used to be there. Depending on the temperature in the morning I'll ride to work and get a real idea of what it's like.

Got a fair amount done today (one of the perks of working from home). Checked squish band clearance at lunchtime and everything fell in spec (6 point average between 0.030-0.040 inches per cylinder). Heads installed, lifters and pushrods installed, rocker assemblies installed, and set the baseline ignition timing. Only issue I ran into was the OEM washer gaskets on the rocker covers. I didn't even notice them until I was going through my gasket set and found the new ones. These things look like paper gaskets and they are down in a recess on the rocker covers, so there's no getting to them with a scraper. :censored:

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Did someone say gods country. Went to look at some ridge property to purchase in NC.
Was kickass riding with my pops on some ridge trails. Good times.

My Amazon fairing has shipped! And my jacket has shipped! Hopefully I’ll get my jacket in the next 2 days. Fairing says earliest will be Friday

That is such a good looking bike from every angle. The CBR600RR is absolutely at the top of my list if I ever save up the money to upgrade.

UPS doesn’t have my jacket getting here until Friday :annoyed: damn revzilla. Took 3 days before they shipped it then they put it on the slow route! And on top of that I realized I had bought the size medium while it was on sale, but there was no “exchange” option only return so I paid an extra $60. If it fits I’m gonna have to call them up and get them to refund me the price difference

you probably should have ordered the jacket from Chicago  and then the shipping company would get it to you next week after you cancel plans
