Things I looked for in my stock Tacoma as a base requirement that some others don't have:
    - 4WD
    - 4.0 V6 (had the 3.5 + drivetrain and couldn't live with it)
    - Bonus: truck came with vinyl floor, not carpet.

Things I added that I use very often:
    - Thule racks (carry my gear every weekend)
    - Seat covers (wet okole)
    - OME lift, 885 +AAL (I'd hit otherwise where I wheel)
    - Bed mat

    Things I appreciate a lot:
    - Rock sliders
    - Rear locker (I have needed this a few times)
    - Rear camera
    - Meso cabin and map lights (it's how I stay tanned in the vehicle)
    - Ultimate headlight upgrade
    - Seat spacer
    - Sound system upgrade, with sub. (improves the mood on my long drives)

Intermittent wipers for sure. Originals bugged the crap out of me. Constantly messing with switch in light mist. Intermittents are a must. Should have been factory installed.

I haven’t looked into it too much, most of the aftermarket cooled seats I know of use like a bucket of ice or something. That would be too inconvenient for me.

You might be able to tap into the air vents below the seats.

I jammed the relay for the 12v outlets so they would always have power. As an iPhone user I need a phone charger 24/7.

I have an 11 Pro Max now and the battery life is ridiculously good. My old 6s stayed on the charger constantly despite having a new battery from Apple.

I have the same truck and have added both, I like the wipers better. My backup camera lens is always covered in dirt

The horn. LOL. But seriously, I'd have to say cruise control. Yes, even as stupid as the system is in these trucks... I use mine on the flats and it's great.

Out of the vast amount of items I have added, the 2 things that I cannot live without are the front/rear cameras along with the all weather flooring. My 05 DCLB is a pain to park with limited visibility with tinted windows and a softtopper/rack along with stinky old carpet. All weather flooring fixed the smell and the front and rear cameras make parking a breeze.

235s!! Do you get any rubbing with them:D

As for me, I would say my ‘07 OR leather shift knob. It has over 445K miles on it from my two second gens, if my plans work out, I’ll have close to 700K miles on it when I get my next Tacoma:thumbsup:. I hope the Gen 4 Tacoma is a worthy vehicle and maintains the same thread for the knob!!

Oh and going from stock tires to 265/75/16's (stock wheels) made the biggest impact visually.
