Every other picture I find online has all the sidewall treads the same. On mine, on the side with the raised lettering which is of course the side I plan on facing out, 3 of the treads are missing the cutout:

It's not the end of the world but I know I'm going to look at it all the time now that I know it's there. Curious if anyone else's came like this considering every picture I look at online doesn't seem to have this.

Probably easier for them to put that text there when there's a full canvas. Otherwise it would just be an orifice to capture and hold debris.

All five of them are like that, on the side with the raised lettering.

It's definitely that, I'm just confused a) why they didn't put the lettering somewhere else so the tire was the same all the way around, and b) why I can't find images online of others that look like this.

To repeat, it's not the end of the world, it's just ... wtf Falken. W. tf.

Ok, I guess I'm not alone. Good, I'm not into that whole being an individual thing, I need to know there's other people running tires just like mine.

Definitely not "ordinary" to ruin a design like that. There are definitely other places to put it. But it also must be a branding vs. wheel appearance vs. legal text issue. That or it was a Friday evening and the designer just threw in the towel.

They could not have labeled it there otherwise.

And, if you look at the tread blocks, there are partial or no sipes on the blocks that form a part line in the mold. Hahahaha!

I didn't mention anything about crawl control or how come I can't do the Rubicon even though I have a rear locker. I don't know what you're talking about. o_O This is at best a 2nd gen thread about my third gen.

Its because of the lettering...it may also be the cause of why everybody struggles to get their tires balanced properly lol

how do you expect them to have a surface to "write on" without it being filled in?

Somewhat doubting that those alter the physics enough to keep the whole thing from balancing but I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens when I have them mounted.

Took me a minute to figure out what you're talking about.

    wildpeaks_mid.jpg

Must be a country of origin or size thing. My US-made 265/75R16 load range E don't seem to be missing any relief in the molding. They're rotated wrong to see the 3 peak but in any case the shoulders all seem the same around.
