For all the older Tacoma’s without the front camera, it’s also difficult to judge how much space there is in front of you when parking head in. That’s why I back in if possible.

It’s such a dry, weary jerking as well. No one even name-dropped Ridgeline into the loop. It’s like everyone got too old and maybe has a girlfriend now and suddenly isn’t sure why we’re still doing it but we’re still doing it because we’ve been doing it for so long and the thought of not doing it is more work than the recursive act of just continuing to do it so we beat on, TW owners against the current.

I know. Is it clear by now that I'm a failed English major between jobs? Also, is it really a run-on? I put a shitload of coordinating conjunctions in to try to save my ass, but see sentence two^ for why that might still not be enough.

Exactly. I sometimes think people start a post here and have established a pool based on when the first "I hate the (fill in the blank) on my truck, my truck is too (fill in the blank), buy a manual transmission, why doesn't my truck have (fill in the blank), TRD Pros suck but I want all the parts and badges on my (fill in the blank), etc" posts start. Generally, it's within the first 5 posts and devolves from there. It's truly getting painful.

The idea is to use the front camera to get up close to something without hitting it when parking, just like you would use the back-up camera. You're not really supposed to use it for driving.

Based on that avatar pic, you might need to consider an undercarriage camera.

LOL I knew someone was going to comment on that after I posted. When I said driving I actually should have said driving while off roading at low speed on a trail going over hills or rocks. It also works good pulling in a parking spot so I don’t scuff the rims or tires. You’re only able to turn it on a low speed so actually driving with it would not be possible.

The 3rd party solutions to add the front cam allow you to keep the front (or rear) cam on anytime. Yours must be the OEM front cam? If so can you provide a few pics of the camera mounting location on the grille, and a closeup or two of the camera itself?

I call mine the Khufu hood. It's a F@ucked up design for sure. After washing it and no matter how fast you drive on the highway. The damn water will stays behind the pyramid on the lower rice patty terrace until it evaporates. I'm think about planting a chia pet or some corn back there next time. Oh, the front of the hood sucks too !!
