Funny moment earlier today from my stock truck. Driving to a friends house, my S/O was following in her car. A minute after getting on it a bit to pass a slow car, she calls me sounding quite concerned.
Her: "Hun, there's something wrong with your truck. A bunch of black smoke came out of the exhaust when you passed that car."
Me: "Oh that's just the oil burning."
    Her: "Is that normal?!"
Me: "At this point... yeah. Thanks for the heads up though!"

Maybe I should just put a Cummins sticker on the back window to troll people....

Due to a couple expenses and a job change, the engine build has been put on the back burner. Well, corner in this case. Any of you guys have projects that look like this? 8E969C51-8134-4D24-8AE2-60DD24DFF4BE.jpg

Didn't get to drive today, but did do a lot of cleaning due to the unseasonably high temp today. 51 degrees and sunny as heck. Vacuumed and detailed the interior, don't mind the gooch juice stain from the previous owner.... can't seem to get rid of it. 83EBED87-2851-4924-8ECE-0505E41C8864.jpg

Waiting to get a set of weather tech/husky some correct fit protection ones. Maine weather and mud season makes me want to save the original ones. I actually had to throw out the factory drivers side one, it was worn completely through.

    Unknown lift, 31's
I've been contemplating whether or not to put a 2" lift on my truck sometime down the road... either a 6112/5160 combo or perhaps Dobinsons. Not looking for a major lift, but also for more comfort.

What have you stockers done for a better DD/weekend warrior type ride? If I stay stock, i'd still like to upgrade the suspension from what I've got, original 2008 OR front suspension and 10k mile rear OR shocks from a gen 3.

My daily commute is a whopping 9 mile roundtrip. Camping type duties and the occasional hauling of yard stuff (most likely will use my FIL trailer since I have a topper now). Running 265/75/16 Cooper ATS 4S tires with no real desire to go larger.
