Krown is not as good as Fluid Film. I bought a gallon-sized can and an electric paint sprayer before winter; sprayed the frame in my driveway: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ontario-bs-thread.249665/page-1229#post-22113604

I also use FF as a jointing compound on most metal-on-metal interfaces, e.g. between the slider flanges and the frame, between the hub flange and brake disc, etc.

As for FF I may say: I put that sh*t on everything!

Was using rust check, but using fluid film because of cost and overall effectiveness.

Think as long as you’re spraying something you’re fine. Ketchup vs catchup right.

It was with Toyota Canada and with some advice from a friend in the business, he told me to stand my ground. It would cost them more to chase me in court than just sell the car...2 year old Matrix with 16kms on it....thing would fetch a good price. I was on the same page with him!

Bilstein 5100’s are the best bang for ur buck there
Some guys on here are running 6115’s
And then theres other options like king’s, fox, etc.
    Money is the limit

i wouldnt recomend any type of spacer

uca’s are recommended for alignment and ride quality reasons (though im still stock uca because i havent decided end game for my truck yet)

add-a-leafs are the cheapest good option for the rear but then you can also get full leaf packs like dakars (moneys the limit)

and will need 2” longer shocks in the rear aswell
(While your there do a u-bolt flip)

265’s are biggest u can go stock with no trimming
285’s are the biggest u can go with 3” lift with minimal trimming (may need Cab mount chop)

Ya not big on the spacer...I had 5100's on my Silverado...rode like a lumber wagon, but effective.

Yeah i always thought mine was a little stiff because im still on stock uca

but recently learned from @daks its because they’re a digressive shock so they ride firmer for the little stuff but handle the bigger hits better
Where a progressive shock will ride softer and absorb the small stuff better

Got it...let me ask you this...I'll go one step further. Best 2inch lift front and rear?

FF doesn't stand up to pressure washing well, which is both good and bad. For next winter I'll coat the axle, leaf packs, and outside frame rails with cosmoline - ordered 5 cans of CRC 06026 marine protectant on Amazon.

Oh man thats a slippery slope

All comes down to personal preference
I built mine as cheap as i could and works perfect for my needs
Other guys on here have a couple g’s into their setup
The 6115’s seem like the best option for an actual lift though then everything after that is just more $

Ha Ha ...it is the million dollar question. I'm looking for a budget friendly lift...but a proper one. Sorry for all the questions, but I would like to do things once...correctly.
