1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

That thread moves in circles. Batteries, ball joints, lighting, bearings, etc its all been argued about before. Usually with the same people/person.

 

It's very interesting to watch Chesapeake Blue Crabs shed their hard exoskeleton and get 30% larger. Local Watermen here have multiple Crab shedding tanks with thousands of peelers shedding soft crabs for profit.

 

Noticed that. Sucks people post tech stuff in there, makes it practically impossible to search for it, would be better if people would just post up a thread on their questions/look what I did.

Just my opinion.

 

It is a good idea, but then you get the "use the search bar" dopes in every thread.

This is one forum that doesnt have a lot of that thankfully.

 

Eh that's everywhere, and half the time those dopes dont realize that the answer doesn't exist!

Or if it does exist, any pictures are gone thanks to the hosting site going under 10 years ago (Im looking at you, YotaTech)

 

Yotatech was a great site back in the day. Wish I had kept up with a few of the guys I went on local runs with from YT back in 2005-2006.

It's mostly Photobucket we have to thank for old pics going missing... When they changed their service agreement or whatever a few years back if people didn't agree to it they lost hosting on their photos going backward and they no longer show up in old build threads and such.
It's nice that doesn't happen on TW since we can upload them to the site...unless TW goes under one day then we're screwed lol

on LT only. 10 pages of referenced "Ass" A Google search of Ass leads to TW specifically 1st Gen Lunchtable.

 

I miss Yotatech in its ad free form from 7ish years ago. Long before I owned a truck but Id cruise the build threads and daydream haha.

Custom Tacos is another one. Ill find what sounds like the perfect write up on google. Then click the link to custom tacos and...nothing.

@Speedytech7, @Empty_Lord or anyone else that has knowledge of the 2uz-fe v8. I'm reading that the 03-04 non-vvti version is a non-interference engine. Even confirmed by a Toyota technician per the post I am reading over on t4r.org. Any truth to that? All I've heard otherwise is that it is an interference engine. Just really curious now since I have an 03.

 

Every yota with a belt to my knowledge is non interference

Yeah Corey the guy that used to run Yotatech sold the site sometime after 2006. Word has it he cashed out pretty big too. But yeah whoever bought it decided to put ads all over it and pretty much drove all the regulars out

Its damn near impossible to view on a mobile. Locks my phone up cause of all the ads trying to load.

 

I miss TTORA, specifically the wheeling meetups. The people on that site were awesome and I still keep in touch with a few of them.

The picture posting kicks ass here, the only site I have a build thread on, mostly so I can remember wtf I did!!
