I think I’m going to do this... it really looks awesome!! I have a few questions:
    1. Has anyone done this with a bed mat and cut the mat around the base plate? I like having my bed mat and wonder if that’ll work
    2. How did you decide how far back to mount the base plate? I’d like the bike as far forward as possible but don’t want to risk mounting the plate too far forward and the bike not fitting. Am I overthinking this? I have a 2005 GSX-R600 that I take to the track and my truck has a short bed. I’m also thinking of getting a ramp that’s also a bed extender like in the photo @wheeliest posted
    3. I’ve watched the pit bull videos on this and it looks really easy but they always use it with the mount behind the bike. Is there anything to look out for when the mount is in front of the rear wheel like it has to be for a short bed truck? I’m thinking maybe clearance issues when going up the ramp?
Thanks in advance for any info/ideas!

Sorry Dude! was out of the country just got back!

    1. I don't see why this wouldn't work? As long as your willing to cut it up that is! measure twice cut once!
    2. I went as far back as possible while still being able to put the furthest two bolts back into the U shaped frame under the bed as shown below! another thing to consider is what if you change bikes and your new bike is longer then the old one? atleast if you mount is all the way back you will never have to re-drill and mount. [IMG]
    3. Honestly it depends on the bike and fairings. I had a short ramp and my track fairings hit the ramp on the way up before. The Pitbull systems sits up very high. I wont be riding for awhile but next time I setup to go I'll take a better picture. Just don't crack your shins on that thing ....

I can’t believe I’m just seeing this thread now. I was contemplating this same thing and felt like I’d be a guinea pig. It’s nice to know others have done this with success.

It’s all preference. I have had 3 Tacoma’s and never needed a long bed. The only regret I have is not knowing about this product before I sold all of my bikes!!! I’ve had plenty of Pitbull stands too

I haven't owned an automatic transmission in 25 years, so DCLB Auto was out for me. With a family of 4, ACLB meant no kids in the truck; DCSB meant we can go out as a family, but I lose a foot in the bed. That was the trade off for me. If Toyota made a DCLB manual, I'd be in... or a Tundra manual.

Popping this up to the top as I had a hard time finding info when I was mulling over installing a TRS. I got this installed a little while back. Not having to deal with straps after a long day at the track is awesome. I'll reiterate the suggestion above to place the mount as far back as possible, especially if you have a short bed.

I've wanted to do this since I got my Tacoma in 2018, the reason I even got the truck was to transport my then race bike.
My worries are that this will not work with how long the modern super bikes have gotten, if anyone has got some info on this, I'd be interested

I have a 2015 DCSB and a 2016 Ducati Monster 1200 and I’m about an inch too short in the bed or an inch too long in the bike. My Ducati Scrambler 800 fit fine, but not the Monster.
I haven’t tried the Bimmer, I would imagine your S1200RR is pretty long.

First bike I tried this with was a 959. According to spec sheets, it looks like 959s are about 10 mm shorter in wheelbase than your s1000rr. Depending on front tire profile, I'm guessing it will work but...please don't just take my word for it and drill holes!

Note that it's not necessary to keep the front wheel straight with this setup so you can gain some clearance by turning it.

Next time I load up my bike, I'll take some photos of the clearance but it might be a while.
