    ive driven it to school firestone and took it for a joyride and the wheel is still firm

    I took the rack out and turned the wheel till fluid stopped coming out before putting the new rack in, than removed and cleaed the res

    You sure the pump is good, usually even with a bubble you get some assist.

    keep pumping then, if not the diverter valve in the rack could be bad. Not an uncommon problem with aftermarket cheapo racks

    Never really took me more than a drive or a few cranks of the wheel to bleed it down

    Yeah before i drove it with the tie rods disconected i turned the wheel left and right not running and that seemed to have gotten the air out

    I only put it on so i can rebuild the original one that came off so hey...at least its aligned

    Did the rack guide get over tightened? I remember I think it was you awhile back saying that over tightening it could make the steering too stiff

    Its a new chinese rack... the last 2 i got worked out great

    The 1st i replaced cause i though that was all the poping and banging in my suspention

    The 2nd i replaced was well pulled appart when the truck was totaled

    Both were remans this one is all new... yippe

    Thats about right id say... after a couple miles my intake was coated in oil

    To stop that run a catch can

    That doesn't look terrible, these engines have a good deal of blowby. Clean it and run it, I'm going to put a catchcan on my 5VZ.

    No wonder this thing has always run a little funny


    I hope that she runs smooth with these clean injectors and some new Toyota gaskets. Have been chasing this rough idle and rich CEL code for a while
