Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

    Wait, 934’s with the stock front diff? Is that inner cv cut in half? Out of hand is an understatement and you have us all intrigued.

    yes 934 with the stock diff... using 934’s for a lot more CV angle. The end of the stock inner is cut off and a machined adapter flange is welded to accept the 934 instead of that crap oe thing that isn’t even really a cv. Axle plunge will now be done through the axle not the cv. The axle will also be longer now as the flange distance has been increased.

    Are you bolting this all up to the LCA mount kit you already created, or is this getting mounted to the stock LCA mounts?

    No, cutting everything off the frame and building new crossmembers that drop the diff, changing how it mounts and making room for a completely different steering kit. This is the no budget build :)

    The 934 conversion will be surprising affordable with your old cores.

    As for numbers the stock CV’s max out at 23 degrees and 934’s do 30 degrees all day long. Also the 934’s will allow for a longer axle with more plunge

    I am super interested how this will all come out. I’ve snapped 2 shafts with my old 35’s and am terrified with the 37’s now. Got $300 saved towards my rcv’s lol

    Are you snapping the axle it’s self or the CV? And do you run 300m axles?

    Both times it’s been the axle shaft itself. 4340 axles.

    4340 is what comes with all bolt on kits lol. Haven’t seen 300m readily available for a +3.5 kit application other than RCV which won’t work with oem cv’s. I’m sure some custom axles could get ordered, but I haven’t gotten to that point yet. I’ve lost 2 axles in 2.5 years of abuse.

    TC L/T, King shocks/bumps, F/R ARB's, RCV Shafts, glassworks fenders/bedsides.
    Rcv now has a set for the TC and AP lt kits. They work great. I have my old take out TC shafts from when I went rcv available if you need some spares.

    My plan is to get those rcv later this year. Been wanting them for a while now, just haven’t had the bank account to do so. I’ve got a complete spare dirt king axle ready to go that I will keep when I eventually get rcv. Then I’ll sell my current axles.

    Just getting started... these arms have way more ground clearance than anything available and the front face of the arm is tapped to help the arm slide over rocks better.

    Working on the top of the arm as we speak, there will be a pocket built in that the CV sits in since the arms are so high clearance

    Oh boy, good stuff here.
    The questions I have: Will you be making arms with the explicit intent to use the tab relocation kit you sell, for moving 1" forward, or are you going to be making the arms with built-in 1" further forward? Also, I see two locations in the jig, is that for stock length and long travel, or long travel and extra long travel?

    What I want to buy: Stock length, high clearance LCA, 1" forward, with stock eyelets on the frame side (use bonded bushings or whiteline kit or standard poly kit, not something proprietary), and a ball joint or sealed joint (NOT UNIBALL) on the outer. I can deal with added caster myself and would not need an upper arm.
