I think I heard the European central banks are having a virus emergency meeting tomorrow 7am EST so that could set the tone before the US markets open for the day. On the political side, with mayor Pete and Klobuchar dropping out and backing Biden, it could ease the Bernie worries.

I wonder if Robinhood holds enough capital to affect any markets when all their users bail tomorrow.

Well they all bailed from all participation today (unwillingly) and the market did quite well.

Edit: To be serious, I hope they all transfer their shares to other brokerages rather than just sell everything!

*appears* to be working i.e. pages are loading now. Market closed so no clue if anything else works. Most of the stuff on their status page (lol) still says "major outage"

FWIW, webull's app is WAY more robust. Tons more data at your fingertips. Honestly don't know why I didn't explore other options earlier.

I think it's to "get ahead" of things, trying to do a better job of that than in 2008. I don't think this flu is really what we need a cut for. It will be something down the road, and they'll be out of ammo.

The rate cut isn't for the flu IMO. The market was overbought and the crash we saw last week was more related to that than anything.

Perhaps, but they wouldn't have done an emergency .5 rate cut just for overbought conditions and a 15% correction. This is the first emergency cut since the Great Recession.
