Nothing to forgive. Here is a good YouTube video about customizations in TS:

Doesn't help that the TS UI hasn't been updated since 1996

You should see the Tactrix option in the connection dropdown menu. Is this the same computer that you use for OVT? If so, it should be there.

Also, OpenPort is Tactrix. If that was the problem, I will update the instructions. Lemme know.

This is the screen I’m shown. Idk where to go from here. My OVtune cable is plugged in. This is the computer I tuned with. All the drivers are installed. Anything I click on this TS page is a failure lolD721D4BD-18B6-49F4-B77F-21968B8DDB5B.jpg

Ah! You cannot get a connection unless you are hooked up to your Taco. When you hit Connect to Vehicle, you will get a connection prompt with a drop down to select the OpenPort / Tactrix drivers.

    Success!

The TSB tune to 04A71 only took about 3 minutes. Then I did the 04A71_1.05_87_BASE OVTune and drove a couple miles.

These changes to the truck are amazing vs the original 04A70 factory tune! No more throttle hesitation!!! WOO HOO!

In the MT Update thread? I suppose that you could try plugging in the Tactrix cable and see if it brings up a connection window?

    Sorry! Good, close reading though!

It is hard to update that post as @Ruggybuggy went to the Tundra side of life.

Did you pick the OpenPort / Tactrix drivers from the connection drop down menu? Is your key on?

Right, I got that yesterday. You have to pick the other option from the drop down...then it works.

I was looking at the customization options while connected with TechStream and I don't see the option to change the number of turn signal blinks. Anyone know where that is hidden in all those settings? Or if there is some cryptic name for it?

Fellas. I’ve done it with the key on and key out of the ignition. I’m not seeing any drop down connection options. I hit “connect to vehicle” in the picture I posted above and get this. image.jpg

Okay. I’ve got it connected to my truck. Now it’s asking me make model and engine and 2018 is not an option for Tacoma and I have no idea what 2TR-FE means for the engine option. Does this matter if I hit next?
