The Texas factory was built for the Tundra. It is not selling as well as Toyota expected mainly because its old as Fuck. The new one should be alot better and Toyota will need the space to build more Tundras. So they expanded their Mexico plant for Tacomas. Simple.

 

End of the day people are still gonna buy a tacoma.
