I shot my first competition last monday. The guys were surprised that I did so well. It wasnt anything difficult at all tbh.

What sort, IDPA? USPSA? Steel challenge?

I did really well at my first PRS match, top half of competitors while using a 223 hunting rifle. Doing better than that becomes much harder much faster in my experience.

Man IDK, I did it in the optic carry class. Apparently its not common to hit all of your targets without extra shots the first time around

Carry optics is great for that. I switched from compact pistol to carry optics when I put my optic on, and my results stayed the same. I just converted from fast misses to slow hits lol

Thanks! I'm very happy with how it turned out, Ruger receiver, Extended Mag release, and BX trigger group, E.R. Shaw barrel (Bentz chamber), Kidd Bolt Handle, I think the scope base is also from Kidd, and a Griffin Armament Checkmate QD for the suppressor.
I took it out a few weeks ago with a Nikon Monarch 3-9x40 on it and I really like how it shoots.

Anyone have experience with the Omega 36m? Considering that as an alternate to the Dead Air 9SD for my Zenith.

    https://silencerco.com/omega-36m

Edit: Is there an easy way to tell the manufacture date from a Zenith serial number?

Thanks for answering. Yes that's correct any AR15 built/bought needs to have a heavy barrel to be legal. Some gun ranges won't allow you to shoot your AR because it's illegal if it doesn't have a heavy barrel. Ugh.

Yeah. I wanted to do a build kit for an AR but I don't see any kits (that aren't sold out) with a heavy barrel

Anyone use a safariland 6354do for OWB carry? Sometimes i get tired of appendix carry. Im not going to rock the leg strap though. Just mid ride height

I don’t have the 6354, I think it’s the 6390RDS for my M&P with HS507C and I like it, I’m going to get one of the cant removal plates at some point though because the RDS models have more cant than the standard safariland holsters and it messes with my re-holster.

Yeah the leg band looks a little crazy for the average open carry man, if you looking for a bad guy that’s a different story.

Yeah that's why i said I'm not using the strap. Its already enough attention open carrying itself lol

that pic is pretty much my exact rig for the range.

That mid ride adapter likes a 2" belt. With the Ronin Senshi belt on and without the leg strap my holster flops when I try to draw. Doesn't feel good. I just jogged around the house and the holster is flopping up and down against my leg.

If there is any one frustration I have with CZ, it is the lack of compatible holsters to be able to run a good setup without custom work. I'd love an ALS holster for a P07 with optic and X300UA, but that's not something they make. They do make dozens of variations of that combo for Glocks though.

Yep, I was irritated that they don’t make ALS/SLS holsters for the P09 because they are a great duty option.
It’s actually the reason I bought a P320 instead of the P09, I could get safariland duty holsters for the P320 but not the P09.
