Focal Speakers (German Ebay seller)

I would feel like a total sucker if I bought these on Crutchfield for $349 or Amazon for $299, when an Ebay seller albeit in Germany is selling them for $126 plus $43 shipping

I realize there might be an import fee of some sort but still these are so cheap - and their feedback is over 99%!!

Anyone bought these off Ebay from a UK or German seller?

 

I would avoid it to be honest. That price is below cost, something might be funny with them.

 

I wouldn’t buy them but that’s just me. Usually if it seems too good to be true then it is. I passed on a JL audio xd 400/4 amp over the weekend ok Amazon that was listed for $266 that runs $499 at Crutchfield.

After looking I’m pretty sure Crutchfield is selling those same speakers for $119 right now though

 

Does it come with corona virus??

 

Thats just the things Im waiting on from aliexpress.... as soon as those packages come in, they are getting quarantined in the garage for the next month.

Some time ago I was in a similar situation, except the speakers I wanted, there were no reasonably local or domestic interenet vendors for. So I ordered a set of Audison Voce tweeters and a set of Audison Voce woofers seperately from overseas eBay vendors in Italy and Austria with a lot of positive feedback. All items were NIB, genuine, and arrived as advertised with no issues.

Obviously there is some risk involved in ordering some things, but it my case it made sense. For Focals, IDK because it seems like those would be easy as hell to acquire through normal channels so price hunting might come with higher risk.

Focal makes some amazing stuff but they also make some low end stuff. I have $1200 focal component in the front and sub and mid amps are focal. My old sub was focal too. I don’t care for the sub or the Amps at all. I’ll prob swap the amps for JL. Even had focal wiring kit which was just rebranded Chinese garbage. Anyways I wouldn’t be surprised if some of their lower end stuff is just sold for more here and maybe that price is what they’re worth. I would find a German friend to see if they are cheaper over there. Could be a good deal. And their low speakers still sound amazing comparatively if you can get a good deal on them
