New Fox 2.0 with AAL & Freedom Off-road UCA’s install

Got the fox 2.0 front coil overs with the 2.0 resi in the back. Also did the Icon AAL, Freedom Offroad UCA’s, and the TJM sliders.

Went an additional 3 turns on the coil overs to get about 2.5” in the front. Because I left the overload spring in, there is still some factory rake left. 265/75r16 tires coming soon.

I went through Street Image Auto in Santa Ana. I worked through the owner, Dom. He was great helped quite a bit and gave great service. All in all, pretty happy.

Yes. They have the ability to destroy any sound financial plan lol.

 

Looks good. I’ve been looking at Bilstein 6112/5160 shocks and struts but I’m going to go Fox 2.0 on my TRD OR too.

 

I’m happy with the ride. I drive a 100 mile round trip commute and I’m more comfortable now. Absorbs small bumps nicely. Way better than the stock or suspension.

 

This is good info. Ive got an OR too, and was thinking about upgrading to 2.0s. You've made up my mind!

 

Where are you located and if in North America how much did it cost to ship the sliders?

 

I’m in SoCal. I ordered them through bumper superstore’s website. Was about $600 out the door with the discount code. They do free shipping.

Stance looks great, especially with the 16” OEM Pro wheels. Your ride shows that you don’t need larger wheels and tires when lifting a Tacoma with an aftermarket suspension.

If I owned an OR this is the exact setup that I would have purchased except for the UCA’s (I like JBA Off Road high caster UCA’s)

Appreciate that. I was a bit concerned about how the stance would come out, but I’m really happy with how it did. The freedom off-road UCA’s were at the shop so he threw them in for a good price so I just went for it. We’ll see how they work out.

 

Needle bearing swap for an EGCS bushing on the horizon?

Very nice setup mikeaesq! I just installed this exact setup on my 2017 Sport but am not overly enthused by the lift height of the front coil overs. I asked the shop to adjust them to 2”-2 1/2” in the front but the most they would give me was just shy of 2”. I’m still running stock UCA’s - could that be the difference maker? Did you keep the factory overload in the back? The mechanic working on my truck elected to take them off (despite my wishes to leave them on).
