Fat Bob's Lift (5lug)

I am getting very close to ordering Fat Bob's lift kit for my Taco. The kit for 5luggers comes either with standard or longer AAL.

What is the difference between the two?

The kit with standard AAL costs $229.65
The kit with longer AAL costs $269.95

I would assume that the kit with longer AAL lifts the back of the truck more and supports higher payload. Am I right?

 

that all depends me thinks.... if the shorter one is stiffer more load carrying... if the longer one is softer, more plush ride and flex...

i have no info for you. have you tried asking the vendor

 

I will call them on Monday they are closed over the weekend...

 

I just spoke to Fat Bob's Garage. According to them the ONLY difference between the standard AAL & the longer AAL is that the longer AAL is supposed to give little smoother ride.

The payload and lift height is the same.

 

So which leaf did you end up going with? Ride quality issues with your choice?
