I'm planning on hiding my garage door remote under the hood and installing an OEM style switch in one of the blank spots on the dash to the lower left of the steering wheel (2014 base 2wd). I don't want it lighted, nor do I want any writing on it (also, a momentary switch is preferred, although I can deal with a SPST as long as I remember to turn it off after use). I have searched this forum and looked all over the web but no luck. Has anyone come across one or have any suggestions?

Thanks!! I might have to do your key power/relay idea. My reason for the blank switch face was to not advertise what the switch was for, but your idea would eliminate a bad guy from getting into my garage for sure. Was trying to keep it simple, but I do like the look of that particular switch. Thanks again for the quick reply!

Nice......I might email or call and see if they can do me a solid and make me a blank face one for the cheaper price, and if not I'll just pay the few bucks for the custom and just not put any text or image on it.

Also, I didn't realize the lower and left side switches were different. They look the same to me (although I really haven't looked at them that closely).

Ok, thanks. It really doesn't matter where I put it actually. I just want it to look stock. Since mine is a base model I have plenty of choices on where to put it. On the left all I have is the LSD traction switch, and below all I have is the USB/Aux port.

If the friggin tweakers would stop breaking into cars and garages I probably wouldn't even bother, but it's a sign of the times I guess. Especially up here in the NW where local goverments seem to be encouraging the druggies/homeless to continue their lifestyles.

If you are looking for the short style, check out AirOnBoard.com as well. They sell blank momentary switches

Here is Garage Door one in the light blue:

    And Here is a blank:

Yes I did. I bought this one: The blank one only comes in ON/OFF (blank option is at the bottom of the pulldown list), but I took it apart and modified it to be momentary using instructions found on this forum (I don't have the link, but I'm sure it can be found via search). The one I bought was a long one and I installed it to the left of the steering wheel. Its been working great. I wish I would have found the ones from AOB that Puppypunter posted above. I wouldn't have had to modify it and it would have been cheaper also.
