    Hello.

I'm installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite in 2020 Tacoma. I think I have found the connector under the dash, but it doesn't look like the picture in the manual or like the connector in my 2012 Tacoma. In short, the Tekonsha 3040-P Brake Controller Wiring Adaptor does not seem to fit connector end in the tacoma.

To connect the Redarc Tow-Pro controller unit to the Tacoma connector, what is the correct adaptor?

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
I used a pigtail from Etrailer. It was plug n play, about 10 minute install. Plugged into connector behind plastic drivers side footwell panel. Other end plugged into my Prodigy P2. Hardest part was getting plastic footwell panel off. No splicing connectors.

Where do you place the controller on the dash/ The 2020 I saw at the dealership did not have the opening/change pocket to the left of the steering wheel on the dash.

That’s why I used the RedArc, it has a box that can be mounted behind the dash and the control knob can be installed in a switch blank.

Perfect! But I would like to use the Tekonsha P3 that I already have. I guess I am not going to be able to make a neat install. It seems poor planning on Toyota's part that they pre wire for the controller, but don't have a place to put it.

Unfortunately. That seems to be a common problem with many new vehicles.

Having trouble finding the connector on my 2020. I’ve fished around a bit and no luck. Is it still to the left (drivers side) behind the kick plate?

This is about the closest to "clean" install you can get with a Prodigy.

Yep, the trac off button used to be on the overhead console but now the S.O.S button took it's place and they moved the trac off button to where the pocket used to be. Also the blank I used for my RedArc is where the view button is if you get the 360 camera option.

I think I will end up putting my controller in the middle console. I hate to put holes in a new truck though :-(

I screwed mine into plastic under dash near left shin. If I remove it you won’t see the screw holes unless you lay on floor and look up.
