Front bumper gouge/scratch repair

    About 2 weeks ago some a$$hat left a big scratch in my front OEM bumper. Didn't go all the way through. Some of the burn I was able to scrub off, but the big scratch is deep.

    :itllbuffout:...not.

    Thinking of patching & painting myself. Any tips for filling the plastic? From what I've read regular body filler is a bad idea, won't stick.

    Thinking of either this:
    Isopon Plastic Bumper Filler Box
    ISOPON Plastic Bumper Filler or this
    $50 3M Super Fast Plastic Repair, 04247, Tranlucent Color, Ready-To-Use, Two-Part Epoxy Finishing Adhesive, 200 mL/6.75 fl oz Cartridge
    3M 2-part plastic repair adhesive

    Also I've read it's important to use along with a
    $23 U-POL 0799 Grip#4 Universal Adhesion Promoter 450 ml Aerosol, 12 Fluid_Ounces
    plastic adhesion promoter like
    U-POL 0799 Grip#4 Universal Adhesion Promoter
    or
    Dupli-Color CP199 Clear Adhesion Promoter

    Thoughts? Anyone have any experience with any of these products?

    I painted my own. Sand it good ! Prep is everything.
    Buy a can of adhesion promoter to spray on before painting .
    I sprayed my fender flares,bumper and grill a couple years ago. Still holing up. Good luck !

    You have a couple of thing going on here....can you tell me if the bumper has been pierced / cut through and through....with this scrape. This info will be helpful on an action plan moving forward....Can really see in the picture.

    @IL Capo good question. Bumper hasn't been pierced...just a deep scratch about 2-3mm deep and maybe 4-6mm wide. The tire mark mostly buffed out. Would probably just do a spot fix on dime-sized fender flare hickey.

    Even better; I've used a two part body filler called "Glaze it - body glaze" and it worked great ! Easy to sand and sets up fast....the only other issue is a color match. I would recommend a automotive type paints (rattle can will work) to ensure the paint is compatable with what's existing.
    Good Luck and let us all know how you make out on your new project...take lost of pictures and post them...

    Hilarious! . The voice narration sounds like watching old kung fu movies and total fail. Bondo would've been much easier and you won't catch a hungry stray dog gnawing on your repair trying to eat the noodles.

    My first time blending and to top it off....silver...lol! I did a lot of YouTube watching and it came out pretty for my first time. I had to paint the whole lower half of the front fender. All of work done using spray cans. Also did the sideskirts and lower half of the front bumper.
