Yes definitely. Use 4.5” angle grinder With cutoff wheels to chop the heads off the rivets, then use a flapper disc on angle grinder to clean those chops down nice and flat and see the outline of the rivet remaining. Then, center punch the remaining rivet, then drill through remaining rivet, hitting hanger side to side with 10lb hammer. It wasn’t bad at all with that process tbh.

 

which HID kit are you running? I think I’m gonna go this route.

 

There’s a thread on here explains how to get the backup camera on your new head unit. I’ve followed it for both mine and my nephews trucks. It’s great having a camera that I can actually see.

Picked up a topper cover for my truck bed to help lock down some school bags, jackets, stroller and other stuff. Definitely packed full.

Made some simple brackets to help mount the super quick fists used to mount my fire extinguisher (didn't want to drill through the molle panel). And then got the entire molle panel remounted in the truck with the shiny PowerTank.

I think its more for the shackle pins that vibrate loose. don't ask how i know LOL!

 

What are general thoughts on the Fumoto oil drain valve. Short nipple, long nipple, standard nipple?

 

I wouldn't put one on, without skids, in fear of it getting knocked off or open. The engine would cook before you even realized it. Even if you do not off road, you could still catch a stick just right or a rock falling off a dump truck.

Just my paranoid 0.02.

 

As posted above, I could see some fear in it catching on something and ripping off. With that said, I have one with the short nipple and I absolutely love it. Oil changes couldn't be easier I literally don't need any tools to do the job.

 

My son and I fabbed up some bed rail plates for quick fists...was a good lesson in building a jig, and he needed the welding practice.




Going to do a set for the Hi Lift next.

 

100% for them vibrating loose. I didn't want to lose a shackle on the road because the damn pin backed out.
