My hiding spot .....

Yeah, I have a little switch there called 2Hi, 4Hi, 4Lo.

It helps me hide my truck way back in the sticks where no one will find it.

Seriously, that's a pretty nifty spot.

 

Hiding stuff is futile in my mind...doesn't keep a drug sniffing dog from finding it. YMMV

 

yeah...thats where my 4x4 switch is. I'm not really serious about hiding stuff i'll put it in the center console..if they wanna steal ur stuff they will find a way

 

What did you use to paint your radio/climate controls?

Cash and Credit cards ..... although if I had had this truck in 1975 I suppose I would have put other things there ..... .

Just semi-gloss black (plastic) with a little sanding. I am not a big fan of the SR5 silver.

Just pops straight out with a little pull.

How well does it blend in with the dash?

 

Well, the hiding spot is good.. until someone jacks your truck, then they get the truck, cash and cards.

 

Pretty damn close. My '06 had a black radio head and this '10 is an SR5 .... I lived with it for about a month but had to go back to black along with the temp controls and the console.
