Oh man, the fresh, still warm HEB tortillas are like no other. I will be in Austin in August and I have every intention of eating at least half of my meals in those things.

 

Never seen these. Am I missing out?

Let me guess...you have never left the Eastside your entire life. Tacoma is great and certainly safer/cleaner than Seattle at this point.

 

Truth. Tac Town now is nothing like it was in the 80s/90s. Hilltop homes are going to $$$ and fufu condos are going up like a mofo. Though, there are still hoods you don't go into like anywhere else.

 

Parkland and Martin Luther King Way and that is it.

plus the waterfront revival and we are spending about $85MM to renovate the mall. ( by we I mean the co. I work for. For the 3 of you who don’t know me, I operate the mall)

I travel to Seattle and the puyallup/Tacoma area quite a bit, probably 10+ times a year. My sister you used to live in parkland so when I think Tacoma that is what I think of. Tacoma still isn’t one of my first choices of a place to go when visiting the west
side.

 

Agreed. Being able to go from the waterfront to Point Defiance is awesome. Now if the would only stop renting those four person bike cart thingies that take up the whole sidewalk.

Are you sure about them tortillas? I found a website online last night to order from but didn’t check to see their shipping particulars.

 

no not sure but the ones in the stores literally stay good for 3-4 days before they start to mold.plus more better when you get them hot off the tortilla machine!

 

Anywhere here in Puget Sound that serves those?

hot pan, add tortilla, flip after 30 seconds or so, remove after another 30 seconds or so....enjoy

 

I love the fresh tortillas from Toreros in Renton. Plus the 40oz margaritas is always a bonus

 

Duuuuude. El Kiosko is my joint. Their tacos are on point and cheap. Spicey pork, fish, carne asada. The whole spread. I highly recommend them to anyone who’s in the area.

Toreros chips and salsa could be my entire meal.

 

Try out this place if you want an amazing burger. Just don't talk to the owner, you'll never get out of there...
