Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I need one of those remote switch set ups. I've been eyeing them up on Amazon.

I like it. You just have to watch the amps, I had to unplug my router from it, so pro level stuff might kick the internal breaker. All my other tools are low enough amps.

I've been looking at that 1hp dust collector. Reading the reviews sketches me out though, a lot of people comment that it's got horrible suction.

With the coupon, it’s not a bad buy. The bigger one is better but I knew I would do a canister filter and dust deputy so all the extra parts on the 2hp was a waste to me. For my needs, suction has been fine. I don’t have any huge runs. Pic of my shop for reference.

Well, I've got a Makita planer, but I use a Delta 1.5 hp dust collector with 4" pvc piping and an appropriate hose connector. Here's an AS-IS pic with metal garbage can diy "cyclone". I'm running an extension cord to put it on a different circuit than my other tools... hint hint
    20200304_202734.jpg

I also run a JET room air filter for whatever the dust filter doesn't catch... yeah, I need to blow that thing clean...
    20200304_202740.jpg

Oh, I try to wear something like this, most of the time... really. sort of.

Started a new deer blind project with some free 2” x 4”s from a builder. This is the base 7’ x 54”. I put the joist so close together so I can glue and screw plywood and hopefully not have any squeaks to scare deer off

Needed an extra shelf for my daughter's room. Took way longer than it should have. Don't seem to have the time anymore with 2 kids now.

Finished it up this morning. Thanks for bearing with me on this one...I dont get to make things that mean so much very often. The lighting sucks in our kitchen. I'll try to get a better pic soon.

Very nice. What do you use to seal it?
I have used the butcher block oil from Lowes a few times. I works good but does not give it the luster I would like.

Vitamin enriched mineral oil (2 ridiculously generous coats)... then in a crockpot, I melted some beeswax (local of course) and mineral oil (4 parts oil : 1 part wax) and applied it like car wax once it cooled to a paste. Buff it off with a rag when it sets and it's like GLASS.....and food safe.

Doesn’t stand up to some of the work on here, but I dabbled with my first piece of live edge. It was a really thin piece of redwood so I decided to make it more decorative than anything. Wasn’t sure how I felt about the hairpin legs at first, but I’ve accepted it as my own little piece of “modern art” lol.

Doesn’t need to be anything complicated or time intensive for us. Most of us are pretty novice.

    Looks great btw!!
